Seminars are held at The Hilton Garden Inn on Veterans Highway near the Islip/MacArthur airport in a large well lit classroom where we will use a TV video monitor system.
Knitting Gatherings
I am teaching a Beginning Knitting class for 5th graders at the harborfields Library on four Tuesdays beginning in September. I will also be teaching a Beginner Knitting class for adults on Wednesdays, also starting in September. Call me if you are interested in the class but are not a resident of the Harborfields district.
We are now busy planning another "Knit In" for all knitters/crocheters which will be held on October 3rd. We'll be making HATS to donate to Care To Knit. Click on the Knitting Toolbar button and scroll down for more details.
Tips for Success
I can't recommend Final Touch varnish more highly! I use it all the time - even for outside items and it doesn't yellow. When I'm occasionally inspired to really clean, I use it instead of wax on my painted pieces. It can be used over any other previous varnish, removes scratches and levels out the surface so things look like new. I love it on my floorcloths too.
