Chanticleer Large Sign Board 18" by 20" Sunday April 6th $29
Floral Trilogy 3 Framed canvases 9" square Monday, April 7th Price to be determined
Come paint away your winter blues and blossom into spring with Ros Stallcup. Please join us to paint for three days in beautiful Sag Harbor on the south fork of eastern Long Island, at the Baron’s Cove Inn - gateway to the Hamptons. As usual Ros, our floral diva, will be teaching her special techniques and sharing lots of great ideas in a relaxed and personal manner. We will be using our terrific video camera system during class so there is not a bad seat in the room. Ros has painted some special pieces just for us and the photos of these three projects are below. We also plan to have some optional fun evening activities.
Ros and I look forward to sharing a few days of fun, friendship (and food) with you. What could be nicer than spending a weekend painting with old friends and making new ones. I hope you will plan to join us. However if you can't come for all three days, be sure to let me know and I'll put your name on a waiting list for a seat in the event that the class isn't full.
Seminar fee for three class days, three project surfaces/photos/patterns, use of paints, breakfast and lunch each day is $349. Please mail your registration deposit of 50% ($175). Paymenty in full will be due when the projects, photos and supply lists are picked up, approximately two weeks before the seminar. For out-of-town students, I will mail the photos and supply list upon receipt of payment in full. Prep work can be done in the classroom upon your arrival. Breakfast and lunch are included and coffee, tea, soda and snacks will be available throughout the day. Deco Art will supply the paints for use in class during the seminar.
Please register directly at the Baron's Cove Inn for your room (631)725-2100 or email: inn@baronscove.com. The inn is located just across the street from the harbor and the town with lots of cute shops is within easy walking distance. Sag Harbor is a very old community with many antique shops and old buildings and the Hamptons are just a short drive away. You may want to consider spending an extra day or two to be a tourist. Check out their website: www.baron'scoveinn.com to take a virtual tour of the facility and to choose your accommodations. There are many rooms where several people can share including some with a loft area. All have TVs, refrigerator, iron, coffee makers, etc. and a continental breakfast is included. Be sure to ask for their discount for the Long Island Painters Retreat as they are offering us a wonderful deal! If you would like to share a room, please let me know and I will help you arrange a roommate. All rooms are non-smoking.
I highly recommend that you plan to arrive on Friday, April 4, (or sooner) so you can get settled and organized to start painting bright and early on Saturday morning. Driving from the Huntington area takes about 2 hours or take the LI Railroad to Bridgehampton and take a cab to the Inn. There are shuttle buses available from Long Island's airports. I recommend the Hampton Jitney service (631)283-4600 - approx price is $25 from Islip/MacArthur airport. If you plan to take the Port Jefferson ferry from Connecticut, please let me know and I'll help you find transportation to Sag Harbor or send you directions for driving your own car.
April 11-13 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) Springtime Seminar held at St Joseph's Academy - daily classes Ros will also be teaching her regular seminar classes at St. Joseph's Academy in Brentwood again this spring.
Black Tin Coffee Pot and Tray Friday, April 11th $30
Harvest Glory Fireboard Reversible wood fireboard 16" by 25" Saturday, April 12th $55
Delicious Sunflowers Black, Burgandy or Mustard Composite Bowl Sunday, April 13th $14
If you can't join our weekend retreat, I hope you will register for any or all of the three classes Ros will be teaching at St Joseph's Academy. Photos and information about surfaces will be available on our website at the end of January - but you know that everything she paints is wonderful and it's always a great day painting with friends. Save the dates and register soon!
Don't miss out on a wonderful painting experience. Please browse through our "What's New" page on this website for information about a "road trip/adventure"to MacKenzie Childs' home in upstate New York. Ros and I invite you to join us on this adventure which will surely be lots of fun! Let me know if you would like to receive MacKenzie Childs' catalog which just might wet your appetite for this trip! Seats ae limited.
